Seven Reasons to Read Fall of Eden

Fall of Eden Book Tour
by Michele Poague with Comments from Reviewers and Fans

1.   You have read Heir to Power and you have got to find out what happens next...
“… Michele Poague continues the trilogy with this great second book. The citizens of Survin encounter terrible new challenges and the reader will begin to understand the importance of the Healing Crystal. The ending of this volume left me eagerly awaiting the release of the third volume.”

2.   You want to enjoy an adventure as told by a good storyteller...
“...I again loved the pace of the book, the way it kept me reading, answering my questions as we went along, and making me think of even more possibilities and questions - so much so, I will definitely be putting Book 3 on my to-be-read list...”

3.   You enjoy mystery, suspense and action...
Excellent follow-up to Heir to Power. Just when you think you understand what's happening, there's a big surprise! I love that about these books. I think this series would make some great movies, but you know the book is always better!”

4.   You love to fall in love with the characters in the books you read...
"Just like the first book, the thing that stood out most to me about this book were the characters."

5.   You enjoy feeling like you're right there in the story...
I like the clear descriptions that paint vivid scenes and strong characters. It makes me feel as if I am 'in' the story, which is why I read.”

6.   You're not sure if you would enjoy a science fiction story because you think it's all space and monsters...
"Heir to Power and Fall of Eden are excellent introductions into a true science fiction adventure. By the end of Fall of Eden, I had a taste of where the author was taking me and I knew I was definitely "not in Kansas anymore!" I'm really looking forward to what promises to be a great finale in Book 3."

7.   You already enjoy science fiction but you're not in the mood for a space opera or zombie tome.
"For you hardcore sci-fi types, the first two books of the trilogy, Heir to Power and Fall of Eden, might seem very non-sci-fi to you, but I promise, if you read the first two books, the third, Ransom, will bring it all home for you."

Description of Book:
Myths are but shadows of a greater truth.

What is the Healing Crystal and who is the rightful heir? Is it a religious object or a powerful weapon? Does it belong to a fallen line of kings or to the colonists of Survin? Should its fate be left in the hands of the young and inexperienced Kairma or to Narvin, the last descendent of a line of kings?

Kairma holds the Crystal and believes she will become the next leader of Survin, while her younger sister Kinter, believes she, not Kairma, is the rightful heir. Narvin believes the Healing Crystal is the Star of Genesis, a powerful relic his ancestors have been seeking for centuries.

Determined to possess the object that will return him to his glory, Narvin is unwavering in his quest to possess it, and Kairma is caught in a fierce race across barren deserts and rugged mountains to a shattering finish where the winner must decide the fate of the world.

Author's Note: When I read stories, I find myself imagining how I would react when faced with the protagonist's dilemma. For The Healing Crystal Trilogy, I asked myself: What would happen if I discovered our oldest myths were mere shadows of a greater truth? I’m proud to have authored this timely epic that presents one possible answer to that question. I would love to hear your thoughts! Visit and comment at all the usual places:

Frank Nash: the Most Inspirational English Teacher I Ever Did Know! By Vincent Zandri author of The Remains

I never set out to be a writer. Back in 1979, when I entered the Second Form in a 200 year old, all boys, military school called, The Albany Academy, I simply wanted to become a rock n’ roll star. Like Ringo or Keith Moon, I wanted to play drums in a huge rock band, make a ton of money doing it, get lots of girls, and see the world. While most of the uniformed boys sat attentively in math class, taking copious notes, I drew illustrations of huge drums sets and stared out the window. All that changed when for the first time, I was introduced to Frank Nash in my second term English lit and writing course. First thing that caught my attention was the classroom itself. The Academy was an old building even back then, having been built in the 1920s. Made of stone and strong woods, with real blackboards instead of chalk boards, the place seemed like a kind of time warp. A school caught perpetually in the 19th century instead of one that would see the 21st century in only two more decades. But

Seven Things About Dangerous Impulses

Today, I we have author F.M. Meredith visiting with us. I have had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival a number of years ago. Join me as she shares seven things about her book.   1.       Dangerous Impulses is # 9 in the Rocky Bluff P.D. series. Though every mystery is complete, every crime solved and the book written as a stand-alone, things happen to the continuing characters: the police officers and their families. Rocky Bluff is a small Southern California Beach community, located between Ventura and Santa Barbara, and mostly overlooked by tourists. 2.       In every RBPD mystery/crime novel there are ongoing characters. One of the most popular with readers is Officer Gordon Butler. Nothing ever seems to go easy for him. Though he is not the “star” in Dangerous Impulses like he was in No Bells , I think his fans will be happy with what he ends up doing near the end of the book. Other characters are: Detective Milligan and his wi

Don’t Let Perfection and Procrastination Steal Your Writing Success

“Writing happens when you stay consistent and keep encouraging yourself that it’s okay to put words on the page.”   - Rebecca Camarena, author   You’ve started your book and you’ve written a few pages. You’re on a roll and when you stop for the day you promise to write daily. But the next thing you know you haven’t written in days. When you start writing each time you type a sentence, your inner editor cringes. You’re terrified you’re going to write something dreadful, so you don’t write anything. You stare at the blank page. You may have even started to question whether you should be writing a book at all. In your mind you wrote something great that first day and you consider yourself a great writer. Writers have this image of the literary greats sitting at their typewriters banging out their stories. You think they sit down and keep writing from the first page to the last. Since you want to emulate them you feel that you have to be perfect each time you write. If this sou
