The 4th of July – Let Freedom Reign

Every year Americans celebrate this great nations Independence Day with spectacular firework displays, family barbeques and great sales at all the department stores. My family has a long history of being in this country and my ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War having come from France among other countries. Mine is an ancestory of immigrants. But, that was a long time ago and today we wait in anticipation for the sun to set and the fireworks to begin. This is a day to celebrate with family, friends and neighbors, but it’s also a day to remember what Independence means to each one of us. This great country has come far since the first settlement at Jamestown and the Mayflower. These people had a dream to be free of the tryanny they suffered in England and wanted to start a new life in the yet to be United States of America. Today, 200 plus years after the Revolutionary War where we won our freedom from England we are free to worship as we want, free to realize the American dream...
