Spring Forward and Fall Back – The changing of the clocks bi-annually has been ingrained in our minds like the multiplication tables we learned in elementary school not to be forgotten, any time soon. The fact that it is almost celebrated, well, at least, remembered and prepared for like any of the major holidays, tells of its historic origins. Starting a week before radio broadcasts, news announcement keep us informed of the day that the clocks need to be changed. I wonder if someone sells a countdown calendar, sort of like the Advent calendar that counts down the 24 days to Christmas. I have not found one yet, but when I do, you know what my family will be getting in their Christmas stocking. It is advised, to change the batteries in your smoke alarm and other devices on this day.
